Stressing way too much

I decided to write about the chapter on stressing because it is something I am very familiar with. I constantly stress about everything. Paying my bills on time, doing all of my class work, being on time for work, the list could go on all day. Now the one thing this chapter has taught me was the reason for stressing and the affects it has on my body.
Since I was a little girl I have suffered from allergies, Mostly in the spring, but they tend to sneak up on me throughout the year. I read in this chapter that stress can cause allergies, a cold, the flu, headaches and having problems sleeping. This is all very interesting because in high school I had 4 MRI's done because they amount of headaches I had been having. Now i have always had problems sleeping so that did not really phase me but all of this made me start to realize that all of this could be happening because of my stress. I eventually told my doctor about my stress and he helped me work on it. Since then I have been doing yoga daily and staying away from things that just make me forget and not deal with.

I realized life is too short to constantly be worrying and stressing out.
A little something that helps me relax... Bob Marley.. he cures it all.. enjoy : )

  1. haha i loved that video. That baby was adorable. But im glad that you are somewhat getting better at controlling your stress. I have no idea how you were able to deal with so many headaches. I would go insane. And yes. Bob Marley helps alot!

  2. Life is definitely way to short to be stressing out about the small things in life. I have a lot of things going on in my life at this time so i can relate to the whole stressing out thing that goes on with you. I'm a single mom and I'm going through my 4th battle of cancer right now and i have a 12 year old daughter. I worry about her everyday and as if my body doesn't have enough stress on it, I still tend to make it elevate even higher.
I get so tired of being "sick and tired" and one day I told my mom that I was ready to throw the towel in because I just can't deal with this anymore. She turned around to me and said "God will never give you more then you can handle, he knows how strong you are". I turned to her and said, "can you please tell him that I've had enough and I'm not superman, just cut me a break for now". Guess what? He still hasn't gotten around to cutting me a break.

  3. I remember people telling me the same thing when I had my twins and my husband was doing his residency and was never home. God would never give you twins if he didn't think you could handle it. Well he was right. Raising 3 kids basically alone for the first 7 years was tough but I survived. My kids turned out wonderful and are very close. Sometimes all of us feel like throwing in the towel and just giving up, but something always happens to make that feeling go away. Anyone that is dealing with a lot of stress should hang in there, we always say in my house better days are coming. And they will.

  4. loved the video! Just remember, life really is too short to stess and freak out all the time. Just breathe and try to stay calm! Yoga really does help! I started to do it last semester because of the amount of stress in school.
