Endurance #2

This book continues to boggle my mind. I hate the cold, snow, and winter. I cannot go sledding for more than an hour before complaining that I have frostbite and am in dyer need for a cup of hot chocolate. If I do not eat for more than four hours, I am the meanest person alive. My friends and family joke about how quickly I give in to hunger and how I let it get to me. The motivation and positive mindsets of these men is unbelievable, especially since I know I could not last a day in their shoes. The fact that they can stay hopeful and continue to look on the bright side in such poor conditions is truly inspiring. Maybe thinking of Shackleton and his men will change my outlook on things such as hunger and the cold. But then again, maybe not.
