When it comes to innate food preference I agree one hundred percent. During my pregnancy I mainly ate cereal. Now I have a picky toddler who only likes to eat cereal and pbj sandwiches. From the lectures I have learned that humans and rats have an innate preference for salt when deprived of it.. That was my first time hearing that. I thought that humans would have more of a preference for sugar when deprived. It is also not a shock that we as humans have a preference for fat. I feel that one of the main causes for that is that most of our food from stores has some sort of fat in the ingredients.
