Preparedness

Preparedness is used to describe the ease with which a behavior is learned. The book describes it as the more prepared we are the easier it is for us to learn. I think that this is very true. The example I thought of when I read this was when we hear something rustling in the bushes we tend to not run near it since we are prepared for what might come out from personal experiences. Another example is that with all the movies that we watch I personally feel as if I would have a general idea of what to do in any possible situation. Zombies, aliens, post nuclear warfare, quarantines, just to name a few. Although these are jokes we really can learn things from movies or at least t.v. shows. We have t.v. shows about anything that could possibly happen and how to handle it now. They also give us pointers on how to survive anything as well as what to do and not to do when it comes to medical outbreaks.
