From a very early age I learned that I loved music. I used music to cope with my stress and anxiety during childhood and my teenage years. Music has impacted my life in so many ways. As I read an article in the Huffington Post and new research is stating that music therapy helps people with Alzheimer's disease, as well as other diseases such as high blood pressure and cancer. Research is still being conducted but from what I can tell the response from an Alzheimer's patient to music is remarkable because they may not have their memories to look back and reflect but at least when they hear a song they do respond. Watch this video from The early Show and it shows how the brain responds to musichttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/11/music-therapy-alzheimers-disease_n_1003564.html
I also found this video on you tube it's really nice...
