How to problem solve with meditation and minfulness

Meditation can make you enter a place of joy and peacefulness. We as human beings tend to always be moving and sometimes forget about our health and well-being in the process of being so busy. Meditation and mindfulness reduce stress and have a great impact on anxiety and depression. Mindfulness focuses mainly on your breathing and one part of the body. It makes you completely focused and able to feel a sensation of being relaxed. When meditating, all of an individual's distractions and stress should be released and let go of. It should be a sense of relief and make you feel calmer. This began over 4500 years ago, however it is just now being shown awareness. If meditation was taught in schools, society as a whole would not be perfect, but it would indeed be a step toward a better world. Solutions to problem-solving could begin with meditation as the first step. Parents and schools worldwide should instill meditation and mindfulness in their children/students daily. In one of my classes, we practiced mindfulness and many individuals took it as a joke, but for me, it was something I always looked forward to because I know no matter how bad my morning was I would have a place to release some of that stress healthily and positively.

  1. Hi Shayla! I enjoyed reading your post! As I was saying in my other comment on Brianas post, meditation has helped me so much personally, and by doing it I have found a new mindset that has helped me so much from my past. My anxiety and depression has benefited a lot because of it. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Shayla,
I have always wanted to try meditation myself. It is a tool I believe is very important in order to relieve stress and boost your overall state of mind. I have read many research articles on meditation in my spare time over the years and it is 100% a goal of mine to start doing. I think many more people should be exposed to this wonderful stress reliever instead of choosing nicotine, alcohol, and other substances that reduce stress, but are very very harmful.

  3. Hi Shayla! I really enjoyed reading your blog post. I have always wanted to try meditation, but have never had the motivation too. However, when you stated that it is always something you look forward to because you know no matter how your day went you had a place to release your stress, etc. made me feel extremely motivated to try it out!

  4. Hey Shyla, loved your post! It's so crazy how there are many ways people can come into ease. I personally pray, I'm Muslim and praying makes me feel so much at ease. I think whatever a person can do to make them feel comfortable and stress free they should do. This world is a cruel place at times, but people still choosing to mediate or pray means that they know there stuck here, but they will do whatever so they can be at ease.

  5. Hi Shayla,
I enjoyed this blog post a lot because I agree completely, we are always moving at a fast pace and we tend to not take a step back and really think or enjoy the things around us. I took a meditation class at Stockton and it was great, we learned how to meditate and to be mindful of our bodies and minds in our busy and stressful lives. It is definitely something I will continue working on throughout life.

  7. Hi Shayla! Meditation is something I wish I took part in more often. It can have great effects on people mentally and maybe even physically to help feel more relaxed. When doing meditation I feel it helps us stay more grounded and calm. Meditation should be more widely practiced.
