I thought the fact that what a mother eats changes a baby's preferences are later on was really interesting. This reminded me of when a friend of mine told me his sister was craving oranges her whole pregnancy, and now the baby loves oranges and orange flavored foods. I was curious to see if there was a test done and found a short video on the topic in general. The video included a nutritionist's recommendation of what they believe pregnant women should eat. I found this information to be insightful because I want my future children to be introduced to all different kinds of food.

This video was super interesting and really makes you think about how babies experience the world through their moms. It also makes you think about how the mother’s diet or access to healthy food can really impact the baby’s life and future food and diet preferences.
ReplyDeleteSO interesting, right!? I had different food cravings with all four of my kids. Lemons were a big one with my second child. I wanted all the things lemon. She loves lemons and lemon flavored food too, maybe it really is a preference from the womb!
ReplyDeleteThat’s such an interesting observation, and I love how you connected it to a real-life example with your friend’s sister! It’s amazing how early food preferences can start—even before birth. The fact that what a mother eats can shape a baby’s tastes later on really shows how powerful and connected our bodies are.
ReplyDeleteI also think it’s great that you’re already thinking about how to introduce your future children to a variety of foods. Watching a video with expert recommendations was a smart move, and it sounds like you’re really taking in the science behind it. It’s exciting to think that healthy, diverse eating habits can start so early!
