Dugs

After reading the lecture slides about drugs, I learned that people can become addicted to caffeine. I love coffee, I have at least one cup a day, if not more. I noticed that if I don't then I get a really bad headache the whole day. I tried eating and taking medicine but nothing helped. The other day this happened to me and I caved and made myself a cup of coffee and my headache went away. I guess that is a sign in a way. I really didn't know this could happen.

  1. Thanks for sharing your experience—it’s so relatable! It’s wild how something as common and socially accepted as coffee can actually lead to physical dependency. I think a lot of people don’t realize that caffeine withdrawal is real until they experience it themselves, so your story really brings the lecture to life.

It’s great that you’re making those connections between what you’re learning and what’s happening in your everyday routine. That kind of awareness is powerful, and it shows just how much our brains and bodies respond to substances, even the ones we don’t always think twice about. Thanks again for being open—it’s a reminder for all of us to be a little more mindful about our daily habits!
