What gives us the power and drive to keep us from being the everyday couch potato, to becoming a body builder, especially during the summertime? In an article written by the Huffington Post, states that there are five ways to motivate yourself to stay get and in shape. Did you hear that? MOTIVATE! As you guys know...

The article states the five ways are setting goals, creating an image of how you want to look, make an appointment with a friend to get to the gym, listen to music at the gym that you like, and reward yourself when you hit goals. A reward system is very successful when sticking with workout plans, because they become reinforcers. Many people give in too fast because they do not see fast results, and therefore they do not reward themselves, causing a big ugly cycle of fad dieting and self loathing. Sticking to the gym with a normal daily routine for a few weeks, with rewards here and there will help reinforce the habit, and it will become a part of your everyday routine. You'll start spend more time lifting these...

Laziness and what it is while what it isn't

Laziness : A look at it

Let us talk about the long debate regarding laziness and what it is. Laziness is something that we are all too familiar with. There are days that we cannot muster the courage to get out of bed. Other times, we have the energy and willpower to do the things we want. It is definitely not in our hands when we lose that willpower but something we can do to better our motivation is to fight it off. When we find ourselves depleting our motivation levels, we can seek inspiration from hidden places.

A post that I wrote for Lifehack described seeking inspiration in hidden places. The URL is the following: http://www.lifehack.org/276872/seeking-inspiration-hidden-places

I wrote this post a few years ago, and I was not motivated at all while writing or actually about anything in general. I must say that I was depressed and in a very dark place that I just couldn't shrug off. However, because I felt so dark and alone, I knew that expressing my emotions was important, so when people thought that I was in my room doing nothing, I would be on lifehack, brushing up on my writing skills. Others would think that I am lazy, but the fact was that I was honing my talent.

To one person, you may be lazy. But as a matter of fact, you just may be in a struggling phase where you are trying to identify the things that make you happy. I was in this dark phase where people would just think I was lazy, but I was just really figuring out things.

In due time you will observed that this laziness turns to fuel all of your future dreams and aspirations. You have to find and discover that but be diligently patient. Patience is fruitful indeed.

Motivation is the desire to do things. It can be mowing the lawn to reading a book. We all have tendencies to procrastinate or not have the motivation to do something. It takes a toll on our mental and physical health. But what is important is to overcome these barriers and reach our full potential in order to succeed. When we are motivated, we work better; our performance shows that as we enjoy something, a given task, and excel at it. I can say so for myself; when I am motivated, I am eager to show what I can do and I end up spending more time and effort at something I do. For example, I ‘ve noticed that I have less motivation in the morning than at night. As dawn enters, I feel that I have more energy to do tasks. I think understanding your rhythm so closely and utilizing the best moments of your day to enhance your performance on any given task is imperative.

I think if I am interested in a subject matter than I tend to easily motivate myself. However, on the contrary, if I cannot relate to a subject than I tend to doze off and cannot associate with the task at hand. More times than not I have to force myself to do work but as you start, it gets easier.

Nothing is really hard. I think key is to changing your attitude. If we try to find pleasure in work then we can easily find it. Yet, if we grudge, nudge, and complain, we only find disappointment. Look at the quote. When we want to make things happen, we can. Just find your inner voice and silence the inner critic.
