When I was younger, I did not care at all about how unhealthy the food was that I put in my body because I was not immediately feeling the negative effects of it. As I got older, I realized that I had to have more self control and eat better because the negative effects were starting to take a toll on my body. I also had learned more about health and nutrition, which goes along with what you said about self control altering over time with new information.Michael Toyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11805928147537987401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4432832965657953047.post-22454359649616943842021-08-01T14:52:03.375-07:002021-08-01T14:52:03.375-07:00

I agree that self-control is extremely hard to control especially with certain situations. As Nikki stated, I have the same issue with sweets as well, once I start eating any type of candy or sweet treat it is so hard to stop and grasp control of how many I allow myself to have. I really like how you included the image with this post and my favorite word on this is will power and the ability to say no under peer pressure or yes when it is something you want to do and something that makes you happy. It is important to note that genetics have no bearing on self-control, it is all based on your own morals and happiness. <br />Emily Batastinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00922375216661238925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4432832965657953047.post-75587310333082076212021-07-30T10:11:20.395-07:002021-07-30T10:11:20.395-07:00Great post! Although I really enjoy my sweets, I do have to control the amount of sweets that I consume so that I do not gain a bunch of weight. Growing up I did not really have the self control that I have now so I think that understanding how harmful too much sugary foods can be enables me to control myself more. I agree that self control is something we have to control on an individual level because it is not something we are just simply born with. Overall, great post! You really had me thinking!
